Introduction

The Beecroft Presbyterian Retirement Unit complex is a project of the Beecroft Presbyterian Church.  The Units have been designed for people who have a desire for independence and dignity, yet require long-term security.

The complex comprises 10 self-care units in 2 two-storey buildings linked by walkways.  There are 6 two-bedroom units, 2 one-bedroom units with study area and 2 one-bedroom units.

Each unit contains kitchen, living/dining room, bathroom, laundry and includes ample built-in cupboards, automatic washing machine, dryer, carpets, blinds, light fittings, T.V. aerial socket, wired for telephone, security door, fly screens to all windows and external doors and emergency light/buzzer.

Who is Eligible?

Conditions for residency:

• Persons who are 55 years and over;
• The ability to be self-supporting and able to care for oneself;
• The ability to meet the financial requirements.

Financial Arrangements

Ownership of the property is vested in the Trustees of the Presbyterian Church of N.S.W and is financed by a "Resident Funded Plan".  The Trustees grant a licence to occupy.

Maintenance

All residents of the units pay a monthly maintenance fee which is reviewed each half year.  This fee covers rates, maintenance of the buildings and grounds, lighting and cleaning of the common areas, building insurance, etc.

Residents are responsible for their own unit electricity, telephone and insurance of contents.

Location

The units are located  in the leafy suburb of Beecroft, which is in Sydney's North-Western Suburbs.  The property is adjacent to the Beecroft Presbyterian Curch and are conviniently located to shops, trains and busses - all within a five minute walk.
