Working with PAC

"The best part is knowing that everyone here makes a difference.  Direct care, hospitality, maintenance and administration staff."
~PAC employee

  • Work within an organisation which is big enough to offer opportunities and small enough to be personal.
  • Have countless opportunities to give something back to the community
  • Access to paid maternity leave
  • RNs and EENs can earn more with us than working at a public hospital

We Value Those Who Care

Competitive Pay

All our employees are covered by the Presbyterian Aged Care Enterprise Bargaining Agreement (2007-2009).  This was negotiated in 2007 with the NSW Nurses Union and the Health Services Union.
Read what the NSWNU says about the agreement.

On direct pay:

  • Registered Nurses on our EBA are between 1 and 5% ahead of their public hospital counterparts for Years 1 to 5 of employment.  Endorsed Enrolled Nurses are line ball or slightly ahead.

With salary packaging (as PAC is a Public Benevolent Institution):

  • RNs are up to 14.2% ahead working for us up till Year 6 and they are line ball by Year 8 and Thereafter.
  • EENs are up to 10.6% ahead until Year 4 and remain up to 6.8% ahead for Year 5 and Thereafter.
  • ENs, due to remuneration packaging, remain line ball with the public hospital sector for all years.

Improved Conditions

  • All PAC employees are entitled to paid maternity leave.
  • Guaranteed 3.5% increase to rates of pay from July 2008
  • Inclusion of new Employment classifications: "AIN Team Leader", "Endorsed Enrolled Nurse" and "Nurse Practitioner".
