PAC's residential aged care facilities are subject to an independent accreditation process, in place since January 2001 under Australian Government legislation.
Accreditation is a requirement for funding and all aged care facilities are accredited every three years, with support contacts and visits being undertaken regularly within this three-year period. The Aged Care Standards and Accreditation Agency assesses all residential aged care facilities against an agreed set of standards covering four categories:
- health and personal care;
- resident lifestyle;
- safe practice and physical environment; and
- management systems, staffing and organisational development.
You can check the accreditation status of PAC residential care facilities at www.accreditation.org.au
Our residential care buildings also undergo an independent certification of building quality and safety conducted on behalf of the Australian Department of Health & Ageing. All PAC facilities meet current certification requirements and are upgraded as needed.
PAC's community care services are required to submit a quality report to the Australian Department of Health & Ageing every three years. |
